John H. Dobbs

John H. Dobbs is a strategy advisor, author, and Managing Partner of Pragmatic Strategy Partners, where he works with organizations on strategic planning, technology adoption, business and technology integration, and organizational change.

Over a consulting career spanning more than three decades, he has worked with organizations including Johnson & Johnson, UPS, Honda of America, HCA Healthcare, Royal Caribbean, and CNN on business strategy, process redesign, digital strategy, and management development. His corporate career has included roles at Johnson & Johnson, Development Dimensions International, The Atlanta Consulting Group, Cambridge Technology Partners, Novell, and Cisco Systems.

Dobbs is the author of Strategic Planning: A Pragmatic Guide and The Consultant’s Playbook: 30 Years of Insights & Lessons Learned. He has also published articles and papers in management journals and professional publications. He holds a BS in Management from the University of Utah and an MBA with an emphasis in Organization Development from the University of Pittsburgh.

He lives on St. Simons Island on the Georgia coast.
