Who operates this website

Virtual Intellution LLC, based in Georgia, United States, operates builtforai.ai and is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Punit Vir handles privacy enquiries at privacy@builtforai.ai. The book’s copyright ownership is separate from operation of this website.

Reading and downloading

You do not need to provide an email address or create an account to read public pages or download the available sample. To unlock the figure collection, answer a question from the book and accept the figure-use terms. We check your answer but do not save it in your access record. Downloads do not subscribe you to marketing, and we do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Essential cookies

The bfa_session cookie contains a random identifier used for secure forms and to remember figure access in your browser. It expires 24 hours after the session begins. It is an essential functionality and security cookie, not an advertising or analytics cookie. It is set when the reader-access or contact form starts a session. Clearing or blocking it means these features may not work and you will need to unlock figures again. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

Cloudflare may also set security cookies when it checks traffic or presents a security challenge. These help distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. Their use and duration depend on the protection involved; see Cloudflare’s security-cookie information. We do not use advertising trackers. The video, fonts and images are served with this website.

We use the country supplied by Cloudflare to suggest an Amazon store. You can change it. This selection is not used for advertising.

Website performance measurements

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page views and website performance. It is configured to exclude visitor data from the European Union, so Cloudflare does not inject the analytics script for visitors it identifies as being in the EU. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first and says it does not collect or use visitors’ personal data. It is separate from our essential access cookie and is not used by us to build advertising profiles or identify individual readers. See Cloudflare Web Analytics information.

With your permission, we also use Google Analytics to measure visits, page use, referral sources, and active engagement time. Google Analytics does not load until you select Allow analytics. We have disabled advertising personalization and Google signals for this website. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time using Analytics choices in the footer. Your choice is stored in your browser. Google may process analytics data in the United States and other countries under its applicable data-processing terms. See Google’s privacy policy.

Access records and security

Our access records contain the assigned question identifier, access status, security tokens, and the version and time of accepted figure-use terms. Access expires after 24 hours; scheduled hourly cleanup removes expired records from the live database. Short-lived abuse counters use a salted hash of the IP address or a session identifier. They use windows of up to ten minutes, with hourly cleanup after expiry. These identifiers are pseudonymous, not anonymous.

Cloudflare processes IP addresses and request information to deliver and protect the site and provide operational traffic statistics. This network processing is separate from browser-based advertising or visitor tracking. We do not store submitted book answers or individual download histories in the application database.

Contact and privacy messages

When you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. Privacy enquiries are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to Punit’s Google Workspace inbox. We use these messages to answer your enquiry, handle your rights request, and maintain necessary correspondence. Avoid including sensitive information that is not needed for your enquiry.

When you submit the contact form, Cloudflare Email Service sends your name, email address, message and optional recipient preference to both authors. We also attempt to send a confirmation to the address you provide. The website processes submissions for validation and abuse prevention but does not store the message body in its access database. Messages received in the authors’ inboxes are handled as correspondence.

Why we process information

Where a legal basis is required, we process information necessary to provide requested figure access and administer its licence to perform that agreement. We rely on legitimate interests to operate a secure website, prevent misuse, and respond to ordinary enquiries, balanced against your rights. Where processing is necessary to comply with applicable legal obligations, including privacy-rights obligations, we rely on that obligation. Accepting figure-use terms is not consent to unrelated marketing or tracking.

Retention

The short lifetimes above apply to live website records. Database recovery copies, email inboxes, and provider security records have separate retention. Cloudflare’s database recovery window is up to seven days on its Free plan or thirty days on its Paid plan; expired access remains invalid even if a recovery copy exists. We keep correspondence while handling the enquiry and for as long afterwards as needed to document our response, fulfil applicable legal obligations, or resolve a dispute. We assess that need by the subject of the enquiry, any ongoing relationship, and applicable legal requirements, and delete information when it is no longer needed. This is a mailbox-management process, not the website’s automatic 24-hour expiry. Cloudflare’s service and security records follow its applicable retention arrangements, described in its privacy policy.

Providers and international processing

Cloudflare provides website hosting, delivery, security, database and file storage, privacy-email forwarding, and contact-form email delivery. Google Workspace and Microsoft Outlook host the authors’ destination inboxes. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where these providers operate. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, the relevant provider data-processing terms include transfer mechanisms such as standard contractual clauses. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may complain to the data protection authority where you live or work. Send requests to privacy@builtforai.ai. We respond within applicable legal deadlines and may request proportionate information to verify identity and locate the relevant record. We do not collect extra identifying information solely to identify otherwise unlinked reader sessions.

We do not use advertising profiles or automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Retailers and other external websites linked from this site have their own privacy notices.
